DeKALB – A DeKalb man was found guilty of aggravated domestic battery in a January 2018 incident, and now faces a mandatory prison sentence of six to 30 years.
According to a news release from the DeKalb County State’s Attorney’s office, Ricky Golden, 38, of the 800 block of Ridge Drive, was convicted of the Class X felony by DeKalb County Associate Judge William Brady on Thursday.
On the morning of Jan. 30, 2018, Golden choked a woman he lived with, causing her to lose consciousness, dragged her across the floor and kicked her multiple times, according to the release.
Golden is set to appear in court at 9 a.m. August 22 for sentencing.
