Through a grant from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, many individual donors, the Fox Valley Older Adult Services annual Draw Down and funds from the Essential Bed Mattress Sale, FVOAS was able to enhance the flooring at the Fox Valley Community Center.
When FVOAS first purchased the center, it had a concrete floor, no walls and one bathroom. The first improvements made were more bathrooms and floor covering.
After 25 years and thousands of feet, the floors were in need of repair. With the help of the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, Essential Bed and many donors, both monetary and physical labor, the floors are safe and new.
FVOAS has served the residents of Kendall, Kane, DeKalb and LaSalle counties since 1972.
Programs and services enhance dignity and self-respect and encourage participation in community life.
