Open Door raises funds for kids

Aktion Club of Open Door raised $600 at their annual car wash, with all proceeds benefiting “Go Baby, Go,” a program that retrofits battery operated cars for toddlers born with spina bifida. Sponsored by the Tri-County Kiwanis Club, Aktion Club provides adults with disabilities an opportunity to develop initiative, leadership skills, and to serve their communities. Open Door has an extremely active membership, and holds a variety of activities all year long, in order to raise funds for children in need. For more information about Open Door services and programs, visit www.odrc.org, the Facebook page Open Door Rehabilitation Center or call 815-786-8468.
