Today is the last day for early voting: Here's where you can vote in DeKalb County.

Today is the last day for early voting in Illinois, ahead of Tuesday’s General Election, and there are still two locations open for voters to get their ballot in before the big day.

The Legislative Center, 200 N. Main St. in Sycamore and Northern Illinois University’s Holmes Student Center, on NIU campus in the gallery lounge on the main floor of the building will be open today for early voters.

The Holmes Student Center on the NIU campus won’t be an on-site voter registration site this year, nor a place to vote Tuesday, although it does offer early voting. The site, used for early voting and, on Election Day in years past, on-site voter registration, has not historically been used as an Election Day voting site, DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder Doug Johnson said.

Here’s where you can early vote today, and how to find your polling place Tuesday:

-Holmes Student Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday

-Legislative Center from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.

All polls will be open Tuesday, election day, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and those voting by mail will need to have their ballot post-marked by Tuesday, Nov. 3, and received by Nov. 17 to be counted.

Here’s how Johnson plans to count mail-in ballots election night.

Additional guidelines are being put in place for polling locations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and those waiting in line are asked to stand 6 feet apart and wear a face covering.
